Is this bond between Gods and Mortals enough to withstand the trials for a country just finding it's independence? However, even with its own freedom Askeria still bleeds internally. The growing pains of a nation that has never stood on its own before ripples throughout the people.

All you have known is the cost, the bloodshed, and the war it took to get here.

History

CHAOTIC BEGINNINGS

Before there was land, mortals, and gods, there was Chaos. Chaos was a lonely primordial, the only records of this time are from oral stories passed down from true gods.It was from Chaos that all the gods were produced, and with those gods came Korinask. Each child was trusted with a domain, something to look after, something to protect. For the most part, each one cherished their domain, with a few exceptions.

KORINASK

Korinask was nurtured by many of the gods. Kismet and Nereus, gods of destiny and the ocean, were among the oldest. Due to this, it was usually Kismet who organized the other gods, assisting them and training them to uphold their own domains.

GREAT CONTINENTAL WAR

Tensions grew between all the gods, and with them factions of mortals who started to divide the continent into thirds. The final line was crossed when a sacred godly artifact was stolen, igniting a feud between all the gods and sparking a war.Korinask was divided into three continents: Reikora, Eprines, and Askeria.

TIME OF MORTALS

After the war, mortals became rather selfish and vain. They believed they too deserved the powers of gods, after all this time of servicing them. Though most didn't understand what they were asking for. In a deal struck by Var, a new ascended god who oversaw the domain of pacts and promises, a single mortal and a divine were inextricably bound.Matches were made carefully, and hosts were selected for certain reason. For once, the gods had little say in their own fates due to the contracts via Var.The would be hosts came to be known as the mighty seven or Askeria's Seven.

THE FALL

It's only after the war that the damage was observed. With no war to hold them together, Askeria was split into its own factions. Those who believed that the Bauldaires, the crown family, were not fit for the thrown, and those that were crown loyal.
